I've been wanting to share about this for quiet some time but as my mind always roams around randomly at the most unpredictable time, I end up forgetting what I want to share or how I'm going to share it. So here's my two cents about being Christian.

I am so sick and tired of being asked, 'What kind of Christian are you?' To me that is one of the most ridiculous question ever. You might think, 'Hey, they just want to know the name of the Church you're going.' But I beg to differ. Most people who ask me don't feel satisfied with my answer, which is a simple name of my church (CLC). After answering that I'm almost always met with confused eyes and wondering faces asking, 'What kind of Christian is that?'

And when I said, 'You know, just Christian.' And they'll be like, 'Ahh, you're a Protestant.' Well I don't mind being called that. What I mind is the fact that some people are more concern about my type of Christianity rather than my being a Christian. Why?

I do understand that some churches can be identified and categorized based on their anointing and focus. I also acknowledge that some churches grow so big that the name of their church becomes a new sect.  And I also understand that different sects will somehow agree to disagree. What I don't understand is the need to let people know their church is the best or the most righteous. It pains me to see that some particular Christians tried to 'steal' other church's members to gain more members in their own church.

Like what Jesus said in Mark 2, He was to call sinners and not the righteous to repentance. We are here as Jesus's disciples to win over souls, not confronting each other.

Another thing that bothers me is the way some members of a church despise other members of a church.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11 tells us about all kinds of spiritual gifts and how they're being different but comes from the same Spirit and the same Lord. And I think that is what happening to all the churches in this world. They receive different anointings, they perform varied miracles, they focus on specific spiritual gifts, but it doesn't mean they're from a different God, they're pieces that when gathered become a whole body of Christ.

I'm longing to see people stop focusing on their differences and start looking at the bigger picture of Christianity, the main point of having a calll to follow Christ, and that is love in Christ.

It doesn't matter what church you're going to, or if your spiritual gift is not the same to other churches. It doesn't matter if you're focusing on grace, or on speaking in tongue, or in prayer. What matters is Jesus Himself. His words of wisdom. Whether your church is according to bible.

We need to focus on doing our best for Christ and stop trying to get a good mark for our own spiritual report book. We should have look at other's strength and weakness and combined them with our own to create a better discipleship, a better church and be a better Christian instead of creating yet a new sect.

Being a Christian is not just about having a religion after all. It is a lifestyle, a personal relationship between you and God. It's not about being the most righteous. It's about love and compassion and forgiveness and repentance and acceptance of Jesus and a continuous life-changing process to be more like Him.

So next time you were asked or ask this kind of question from or to someone, think about this first. Are you being a Christ follower? Or have your focus shifted away to something more worldly such as thinking you belong to the best kind of a certain Christian sect?

I'm a Christian (Period)

Sunday, December 9, 2012

Wow. I didn't post anything in November! Where have I gone?!

Well, well where do I begin? There are so many things on my mind right now I don't know how to start, what to mention first. My head is like a bunch of tangled threads. And I don't want to forget the things that I want to mention here. Gosh!

So let's start with the usual stuff, like the cool fact that I am in Australia right now! And the sad part where I'm not in Sydney :(. Anyways, I've been in Australia since October 25 and I did go to Sydney - :)))) - for a very short time :((((. I met all of my friends - I miss you so much already again - and visit some of my fave place there - Saap Thai, Madang, Market City, Darling Harbour, Hurricane, every place in Sydney is my favorite! We went for karaoke and had soju night like we used to do when I was Sydney. It was very fun. But things have changed too. I met many new faces too, and I couldn't help myself not to feel a bit left out. I mean, I don't know. Sometimes I wish things can just stay the way they were. Everybody is going forward right now. They don't go karaoke anymore. They don't have soju night or movie night as well. Somehow it felt like... Everyone's growing apart. But the good thing is you all still made time to go there with me. I feel very thankful for my short stay in Sydney. I wish I can go back and forth to Sydney anytime I want. How awesome would that be!

But then again, if I were in Sydney right now, will things stay the same? I mean, Fanny is in Makassar preparing her wedding, Adit is going back to Melb very soon - seriously, WHEN?, Ivan with his new relationship, Ryan is busy with work and his IELTS, Luke with his college and university, Candy with her TAFE and Ayu will be busy starting a new life with baby boy - with Ko Willy too, etc.. I mean, will I be enjoying Sydney as much if I was there? One thing for sure, I'd be needing a PT if I live in Sydney because, boy, the food in Sydney cause me mouthgasm.

Oh another thing that I really miss in Sydney is CLC and The Brigades, my dearest church and youth!! They'll be having a Christmas Celebration later this afternoon and I really really really really want to go there and celebrating Christmas with them!! ><

I miss Sydney so damn much.

And a little bit surprisingly I miss my home in Indonesia too. I already miss TWO of my friends' wedding! :( I don't want to miss another one anymore. If I can be in three places at the same time, I'd be super happy. Ha! But the good thing here in Perth - I know right? Perth is borrrinng! - is that I've learned some serious stuff about being a mother. And I have my super cute niece, Brooklyn, that I can play with! Have I mentioned that she's the cutest baby alive?! I mean, I am now freaking out I might love her more than my own kids! She's soooooooo beautiful! I never know I'd love a baby this much. I want to kiss and hug her all the time. All. The. Time. She's cute when she's sleeping, smiling, and she keeps on making that cute baby noises - aguuh, ewuuh, awuh - and melt my heart. She makes Perth so much better!

And talking about Perth, have a guess what I do here everyday! Other than taking care of B of course. Let me give you a clue. It starts with E and ends with asyway. I need help! I already gain a fatty 2 kg since I came! I mean I should've been skinnier since I hold B most of the time! What is happening!! Not to mention, I have major breakout! :( I've got pimples everywhere on my face. I really need help.

I need to talk about other stuff. Like how fast time flies (I said this a lot ey?). I mean it's December! It's almost 'the end of the world' - sarcasm intended. And how unpredictable my life is right now. I mean if two months ago someone told me I would be spending the next three months in Perth, taking care of a baby, I would've laughed it off. And visiting Sydney?? And Melbourne? Tots unpredictable! And how I'm befriending my sister's friends back at Indo. I mean I never see it coming, ever. Or how I befriend my senior in primary school. This whole unpredictability thing that happened recently got me all excited and scared at the same time. I keep on making guesses and predictions about my future. What will happen next year? What will happen next week?

I think my fear got me stumble a little bit. I mean I'm not sure if it's even related but I don't feel too close with God nowadays. It's funny how my faith has been fluctuating very frequently. And it's strange how my previous post was about the fullness of my 'righteous tank'. But I still push myself to do the QT and talk to Him. I just don't feel as connected. I hope this phase will disappear as soon as it appeared. Because the world is going crazy nowadays.

Like, crazy in a devilishly way. I might be the only one in my, err, community, who believe in those 'Illuminati theory'. You can call me crazy or stupid or anything else, but seriously, have you ever read Vigilant Citizen - vigilantcitizen.com ?? As crazy as it sounds, something evil is at work at this world at this very moment. And it is more evil than ever. I had my doubts. And I didn't want to believe in those stuff at first. But look at Ke$ha's Die Young lyrics and video. And hello, Lady Gaga? And also Rihanna. And all the rappers and all those pop stars that started off innocently but then transformed into some sex machine on their second album. And the fact that the rhytm of those songs are very catchy yet with very wrong lyrical content.

Take a look at Bruno Mars. He started off with Just The Way You Are and everyone was like "Aww he's so romantic!" but then "Marry Me" came off and it's still catchy but the lyrics had gone a little bit crazy. And then now he came up with his new single "Locked Out Of Heaven" and it obviously promoting sex -  some of the lyrics are: Cos your sex takes me to paradise - in a wrong way for this generation, I'm afraid. And his other song "Young Girls" is about his 'addiction' to young wild girls. It's not so romantic anymore right?

And Ok, I DID download those songs - the beat IS awesome - because my sister's husband kept on playing it every single day. And I ended up like the song. I mean I don't do the things that was said in the lyrics, but some - A LOT - younger generations might think, "Y'all it's cool. We gotta party and die young because Ke$ha said so. Sin is so 2013!" True story. And some fans can go very far for their idol pop star. They''ll be like: YOU've changed my life, I'm all about YOU. Stuff like that.

And I haven't finished. If you take a closer look at the fashion world and the music video and MTV nowadays, the things that they promoted are: occultist symbolism - one-eye sign, satanism, inadvertent cross, skull, blood, honestly what are so cool about them? They're not that artistic -, free sex, stupidity - see the show Ridiculousness - and violence. And there's only one word on my mind: WHY?

Why do the media mass go all the way to promote those things, if it not for a bigger, more insidious conspiracy? Just like hell is the real thing, so does The Devil. And it's not only happening in Hollywood. It's everywhere. K-pop, Bollywood, Indonesia. Everything's going crazy. And before I forget, look at Pitbull! Music videos used to be about the singer. And at first there were only kissing scenes. And then girls with bikinis. But recently I saw the bikinis are taken off already! And the girls are hiding their tits on Pitbull's shoulder. And in a lot of music videos they were doing orgy! I'm serious, what's with that? The media mass might try to dumb this society with sex, drugs, and self destruction behaviors in the name of arts, trends, fashion, and swaggy lifestyles. Do not trust the media.

Wow. I've been talking way too much!

But think about it. Be careful of what you see, read, or listen. And sometimes, just because they talk about God, doesn't mean that they are the people of God. See if their actions are as what they say. And if they believe in God and do evil deeds, it's not a permission or a justification for you to do the wrong thing. Because the devil tempted Jesus with scripture. So just. Be careful.

How did I go from my simple life to this heavy topic, I'm not sure, but I think I have delivered what I had in mind. I have to have my beauty sleep NOW.

Adios!

And Happy Christmas all!

Oh one last thing, there's this email I've got, talking about how society try to make Christmas as a 'normal holiday', without any relation to Christ. Well hello! It's called CHRISTMAS for a reason. So let's make it a Christ's season! Jesus Christ is the reason why we celebrate Christmas. Not Kris Kringle. Or the pine tree. Or even snow. You wrap those gifts, and putting the ornaments on a christmas tree to celebrate His birth. Not to celebrate a 'holiday'. Gosh, what's with this world!

Back to December

Thursday, May 31, 2012

I think I've posted something like this before, but anyway, small chances you remember anyway. Therefore I'm going to talk about it again.

Back then in high school, there was one subject that I thought was the most useless. It's called CB or Character Building. Why did I think so? Because I think it taught nothing about building a character. All the teacher talked about was about bible and God and how we all have to follow what the bible said. Little did I know that these two things - God and character - are so closely related.

One's character cannot be parted from one's belief. It is true that some people have good attributes in them even though they're non believers or atheist. The thing is, whether you like it or not, your characters are rooted to one fundamental principle, and that this particular principle that will build you as a person. Most of us subconsciously live our life in ways that suit our principle. Yes, you can live your life without knowing your fundamental principle.

I guess what we all need to do to 'grow up' is to first, finding out a fundamental principle to live by, and second, to hold on to your belief. I can't tell people that Christian is the best and the only right religion/belief. Well I can but then it would mean I don't appreciate others opinions and beliefs. And I do respect and appreciate it. So, as long as it is not Satanism, get closer to it. If somehow you find the teachings are too complicated, too weird, or anything, you can always choose another principle. But it is highly advisable for you to just come and try Jesus. It's worth your whole life :)

Sharing My Thoughts

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Well.. I was planning to post something fun two days ago. I knew I remembered what I wanted to say and share to you all. But now I just forget. FORGET!

This is why I need my internet connection (and laptop) when I want it anytime anywhere! I miss Sydney SOO MUCH! :(

Anyways.. On a much happier side, I've got other things to tell..

1. Congratulations to my dearest friend AYU who is celebrating her graduation day today :) I'm so proud of her. She's one of the few people that I can trust with my all heart and she's just, daebak! May God bless her endlessly, more than she's been now - oh yes, she's so blessed!! I just know God loves her deeply. I call her parking space girl (long story) and she's always full of blessings everywhere she goes - and even though she never read my blog, I just want you to know about her and maybe pray about her :)

2. I finish reading Old Testament for the first time in my life!! Ding Dong! Mark March 13 2012. I'm both proud and embarrassed but I hope I'm getting better at this. Will start NT a.s.a.p. tee hee

3. Tomorrow's White Day (I don't even know why it's important.. But many people are waiting for this day I guess..)

4. The day after tomorrow is Luke's birthday!! :): I'm happy for him and I'm sad cos I won't be able to greet him a happy birthday in person. But I hope you like my birthday present though :D (if you read my blog, lazy ass!)

5. I'll post more about other things after this!

Oh Hey!

At the first sight of Paul's theatrical trailer, I thought it would be a very funny movie. And it turned out to be pretty funny. I enjoyed the funny scenes, Seth Rogen played a humanistic alien - not on appearance though, but in the almond-sized eyes alien, smoking, dancing, and other things. It was all good until a Christian woman came.

Not that I'm such a sensitive person who cannot take a joke and laugh about myself, or in this case, about my belief. But I think the screen writers are a bit of stereotype in describing a Christian. In this movie, they picture a Christian girl who could not take the fact that alien does exist and forcing her belief by arguing with Paul, the alien. And when she finally saw him with her own eyes she got shocked and realized that she could do a lot of things that was once forbidden as she was a Christian: smoking, fornicating, cursing, etc..

And in the end, she told Paul that he's not freaking her out or anything but he made her free.

Not to mention how they described the father, who was some kind of a priest. He brought gun to save his daughter (the Christian girl) and brought bible everywhere, who's in the end, shot the good guy.

...

That part wasn't funny at all.

How come turning from someone who believe to someone who smokes, fornicates, and curses is making you free?????

I assure you, I enjoy science fiction. I mean I watched Star Trek, I loooove Roswell, and Smallville is one of my favorite TV Shows. But propagate Christian like this is only making people think like, 'Ooh, that's what Christian look like, NOT free.' And we're anything but NOT free.

Why did they do that? I think I'd never know. But I just want to let all the readers know that Christians are not like that. Hollywood plays an important role in sending messages to people they entertain. And there are countless innocent people who would jump to a fast conclusion that Christians are 'boring', 'crazy' and 'not free'.

Though I have mentioned it before somewhere in my previous posts, I'm gonna say it again now. Christianity is not only about religion. It is a lifetstyle based on your relationship with The Lord, Jesus Christ. And when you get to know God, it's not going to be boring. It's not going to turn you into a lunatic. It's not going to erase your logic. It's not going to make you less fun or cool.

It will bring joy, happiness, and peace of mind. It will grow love in your heart, and it will give you knowledge you're too scared to imagine to be known. I don't want people to think that Christians are freak. Stereotyping is judging. And whatever happens to respect? To 'Do not judge a book by its cover'? Especially when the cover was exploited and designed by people who don't know what the book is about.

It hurts me deeply to know that there will be many people who would nod their head agreeing about the attitude the girl was displaying. I'm not really recommending this movie, to be honest. There are still so many good alien movies of which do not despise the value of Christianity.

PAUL - My Review

Friday, April 15, 2011

Luke is going to get baptized at 9 o'clock sharp in the morning!! I'm so excited and I'm so happy for him! I never thought he's going to get baptized first. But he has grown so much this past year and I hope he can grow more and more in Jesus! :)

This year is going to be a good year, as O'Neil Watson said last time he came to our church: this is a new season for CLC, and I believe each one of us who are in the fellowship, including Brigades, will experience God more than ever, it will be powerful, full of blessings, fill with new challenges, accompanied by improved faith, and it's going to be an awesome year!!

Too bad I won't be able to go to this year's retreat... :( I really wish I can go, but I got wedding to attend to! (and not that I'm not excited for my sister's wedding, but the things you learn in retreat, the togetherness, it's just.., amazing!) And it is an event organized by Luke and Fanny!! SO I kinda REALLY want to come.

But that's okay. I'll keep my faith, and we'll see... Because it is written in the bible that a great faith saved a great deal lot of people. And I'm holding on to mine.. :) Today's life group is so good!! We studied about Matthew and I learned many new things about God, about Jesus, and about John the Baptist. And I was also reminded of things that I've started to go weary about: praying. Cell group bible study is really good for people!! It will remind you to all the things you've started to forget and put your feet right back on the ground when you start to feel like flying. Helps you checkin' up on yourself, and I need a lot of that.

Anyways, I hope everything's going to work out as His plans, and I wish tomorrow's going to be a great day!! :D

God bless us all, people!! And He loves us :))

Nite!

Good News

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

How many people claiming themselves as righteous people, when, really they are just trying to justify themselves and pretend to be blameless. Don't get me wrong, I'm not posting this thing to judge anyone and proclaiming that I, myself is blameless, or to give hateful comments to unbelievers. Believe me, I'm a sinner. We are all sinners. But I repent everyday. And try to reevaluate myself as much as I can.

So what I have just found on twitter is a link posted by an influential person, who is also a famous gossip blogger. Well, I like most of his posts, not because I like gossiping but because I like watching entertainment, I love movies and music and I'd like to know what happen to these actors. Besides, most of his gossips are facts. And here where you, reader, really have to pay attention. Most of his gossips are facts, but not all.

And this is the biggest challenge that we are facing in today's world: handling information. Because honestly, I think many people were killed because of the things that they know, rather than because they deserve to die. And information is the key for everything!! In every work you do, every task you try to finish, every problem you need to solve, you need some information before you can do anything about it.

Back to my main point, if you really are a faithful reader of my blog (and thanks if you are :)) you would be checking the link, and you'd know I'm talking about religion, and Christianity to be exact. I don't know why many people questioning about Christianity as if we are terrorists. And people seem to be questioning about Christianity more than other religion. Well you might think, 'It's no wonder because Christians always ask people to join their community,' but I'm telling ya, we ask people to join, not forcing. And my apology if some Christians do force. They have different approach.

Anyway, the link that I gave you talked about how bible is used to justify slavery and equal rights, because in the bible there's a saying where slaves are told to respect their earthly masters. And they also talk about equal rights, you know, women emancipation, gay, gay marriage.

Now I wouldn't say that bible is easy to understand. It takes time and thus why there are so many people study theology. But if people really want an answer to it, they really should read the whole bible rather than pointing one passage and exclaim that bible supports such or such not. I mean, way back before new testament, humans ask for a king, and God had warned them, if you people had a king, there will be strata, there will be levels of status, and we are all bound to that king, to the government, to the laws and rules and authorities of the rulers of the world. So why are we here now, protesting something that we asked and said were prepared to accept long time ago? Because we are human. We never satisfy. And we must not blame bible for that. Blaming bible means blaming God, and it is just so wrong.

My second point, gay rights. Equal rights. The article started off with something like 'many couples nowadays are not expecting children...' If you are a Christian, a very good Christian, you'll notice something, and that something is God want us to multiply! So couples not wanting children for the rest of their life is against God. Of course, if you can't be pregnant or something, it means it's not your fault, but to do it purposely. I don't think so. Besides, God never created human so male can be with male and female with female. Whatever happens to the beauty of Adam and Eve? The beauty of 'woman was created from the rib of man'?

And I don't hate gays. Trust me, I've met gay people in person, I have gay friends and they are really nice. And I don't treat them like enemies, cause really they are not. What we have to combat is the poison that the Devil try to put among us. She ensnares us on our weakest time, when we don't notice. Sometimes they even appear in form of angles, and use verses of bible to entice us.

And that's why I said information is very important. You have to be really careful on deciding which one comes from God, and which one comes from the world.

Sometimes when we have fallen into sin, we try to find something - anything - to justify our wrong doings, and that's when Satan comes in and give us comfort and support for the sins that we have done. And we start to think, 'Hey! It's okay. I'm not sinning, I just do something differently. But I still love God, and I still believe He's my Savior,' but boy, have we just fallen deeper to Satan's trap?

The Devil's trap is not obvious, it is wrapped with ribbons on it. It'll look beautiful, it'll taste delicious, it'll sound so good, so right, and it will make yourself forget about other things. And most importantly, they will mix a little of lies in an ocean of truths, so then you'll start to wonder if all the lies they've been feeding you, are actually part of the truth?

Beware! Think twice, think more, reevaluate yourself. Hold fast to Him, revere to Him always, and may God bless you all.

I'm sorry if my post have offended anyone.

What I Don't Understand Is

Thursday, April 22, 2010

Good morning! I rarely post in the morning, I know, but lately I always wake up at around 8-9ish (except when I slept at 4, I'd awake at 10-11) I don't know why! And I'm not even setting up any alarm.

Anyways, my main post is about what I read yesterday. You know one of my FAQ in Christianity is: if He is the one and only, then why people can experience the presence, the existence and the miracle of other gods? And if it's wrong, how to differentiate between the right and wrong?

I bet it is something that you also ever thought, right? I always wonder about things like these. So yesterday when I couldn't sleep though I was supposed to be sleeping, I continue my bible reading, and look what I found.

Here's what I believe is the answer for the first question:
1 “If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.
Deuteronomy 13:1-4 (NKJV)

And for the second question:
20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ 21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
Deuteronomy 18:20-22 (NKJV)

It is true, seek and you will find! :)

Have a lovely day folks!! God bless.

I'm having my mid exam in less then three hours!!!

It Is Written...

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

I always talk about how people keep changing from time to time right? I feel like I'm changing - again. I figure people are changing gradually, not just one time, but as time goes by, we keep on changing either in our personality or appearance.

Lately I feel like I'm being more religious :) hahaha not to be cocky, or being a big head, but I really think that I have gone up to the next level of my spiritual belief - I accept Jesus more in my life. I don't know how or why. But it's a good thing. It is actually give me time to think more about life and makes me want to be better.

Well recently I've experienced to lead a life group - I did it with a friend, it was both our first time and I was so nervous! I really didn't know what to explain because I thought my understanding about bible was very limited yet the life group coordinator kept pushing me and my friend to just do it (I still think my understanding is limited). So we decided to go for a 'personal relationship with God' theme. We did more about sharing rather than learning about bible verse, and Onnes, the actual life group leader helped us by providing really nice verses.

I think that was the first thing that started to change me.

Another thing is what we had for the next life group. There was this priest from LA who talked about Christian in a way that makes you stop and think: what is my purpose of life here? And I KNOW how it feels as an outsider, when the answer is to 'spread the Gospel, the good news.' It's irritating. A very simple answer but yet it felt like it doesn't make any sense at all. But what I think is important is when you start to look for it, and want to know, really want to know, and try to find the answer of your every question about Christian. And it's actually very easy. If you're hesitated, do not judge, but try to find the truth, do a research, seek for an answer. In short: try to read the whole bible and then you can re-think about Christian.

I was very skeptic about this whole thing before. I used to pray in the name of God, but not in the name of Jesus. I mean I know God did hear my prayer but I was so reluctant to accept that Jesus is my savior. And then my sister forced me to go to this life group and since I didn't have anything to do, I joined her, and guess what, I was blessed to have her as my sister. She led me to who I am now. So remember, when you hesitate about this whole thing, do not judge, do not accuse, just read the whole bible (you can read other religious book if you want to compare), after that, then you can make your judgment :)

There was this one sentence that the priest shared to us at life group: "Christianity is not a religion, it is a lifestyle based on our relationship with Jesus Christ." Isn't it a beautiful statement?

Now I'm not trying to preach or anything here, and I assure you, I'm not a saint, I have sinned, but I just want to share the good news. Because it happened to me, and it makes me happy, so I hope one day it will happen to all of you too, so that you could be happy as well.

And besides, I think this world has gotten really closer to an end. Signs are everywhere!! We should stop thinking that 'abnormal' behaviors are arts. Or bad things are actually trends and fashions. Think about it.

:)

Let's Talk About Him

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Before I start anything, just want to say Happy Passover!! :) I know I'm so late and I did post but not about Passover - it was about Smallville :s haha

Talk about passover, I have this goal to finish Old Testament, and guess what? I've just finished Numbers! Lol. I know I know, it took a really long time, but at least I'm moving forward! :D I'm going to try to finish Deuteronomy as fast as I can!

And more than ever I think, I need His help, because I have SO MANY assignments in front of me and I know, whatever grade I get is not the most important thing - and I really don't want to sound like Hermione, but I want her brain lol - but I really really really want to do great this semester and of course next semester.

Here are my list of assignments:

Thursday, January 28, 2010

I've been thinking and thinking. And then I think again and again and again, and I start to wonder and not so long I want to confront!

I mean, ggoooossshhh why can't you tell me what is wrong without me asking you?! (The moment I write this Mika's song played in my mind: why don't you like me, why don't you like me without making me try?!).

I think God is testing my pride. Are you, Mr. G? Because I'm scared, and I'm confused. My mind's not clear and I think everything doesn't go as I want them to be.

But is this His way? Am I just worrying something that I shouldn't have been worried about? I don't want to doubt His plans. It could be that I don't understand His plan, yet.

Ok, now I sounded a little overreacted, don't I?

Still not calm,

Should I or should not I?

Monday, January 25, 2010

Yeah, its a new year so everybody should have at least some goals to achieve right? I've been wanting to write this since the 1st of January, but with my laziness and lots of procrastination, the lists can only be posted now.

Siska Purnamasari's New Year's Resolution (2010)*:
-*with the comment from the Author, filled in the () sign-

1. Finish the Old Testament from the Bible (This is my most important goal. I've been wanting to finish bible since forever so I need to focus on this one, plus, I really want to get to know my religion better.)

2. Talk softer (MANY people say that sometimes I sounded like I am angry when I talk, even when I don't feel like I'm angry. But people are our attitude mirror right?)

3. Being discipline (I must be a discipline, if I ever want to be successful. And this is the hardest thing to do for university students, I guess. Not nerd university students, normal ones. Haha.)

4. Eat less junkfood, more healthy food (Hard, hard, hard.)

5. Exercise more (Not that hard, but been quiet easy to not exercising, especially when you're on a vacation.)

6. Study harder (I want - if I could - great grades, and it means Distinction for my WAM and not Credit, which in order to achieve it, I have to get HD in my every subjects.)

7. Pray more, go to church weekly, and stop cursing or shouting dirty words too often (You know me.)

8. Enjoying life before I'm being a young adult (This means enjoying teenage life and have heaps of fun. Much fun.)

Yeah, that's all. I'm not going to make a-too-long-list, because you know, the risk of it not being achieved is much bigger.

Oh, I have one more wish which I will keep to myself (secret makes a woman woman) so the total is nine wishes.

Happy New Year and I hope you guys luck with your own resolutions!

D came home today with a shocking story.. I don't know if this already happened for quiet a long time but I founf it really scary, I mean, I know this whole world full of conspiracy but this is a very very big thing..

Does anyone ever heard of Bilderberg? (If you have, then you know what I'm talking about :))

It is a private conference that attended by approximately 130 guests who have big influence in the world, they have big roles in business, media and politics.

What do they discuss?? That's the scary part.

These people meet up annually somewhere in Europe and once for every four years they meet in US or Canada. Well, if you want to know the whole history, just check on wikipedia in the term of Bilderberg. I'm gonna skip to the conspiracy theory.

So this meeting end up in a purpose to create a new world order. The meeting is very secretive and personal. Recently, there is someone who sneaked around and successfully video-taped the conference (you won't find this on wiki). It is believed that Bilderberg is planning to create a world war 3 and use the chaos to take over the world. Sounds like a bullshit? I don't know.. Another thing is that world war 1 and 2 didn't exactly explode by itself. It was all part of the plan! This is very huge right?!

My sister then moved on to the fact that some people have been chipped in so they could easily detected on radar (chips have been placed to dogs and cats and prisoner). In the bible, there's this one time where it mentioned about how one day all the people will be signed with 666 whether it's on their head or their hands. And it is also told that this world will be authorized by money and power!! And by that time, people who don't have chip will live in misery and Jesus will come for the second time and people who believe in Him - and don't have chip - will be raised to Heaven, immediately! The ones who don't believe but haven't been chipped will be given time 3 years and the will be very much in suffer but if they can stand it all, they too will go to Heaven.

I'm so scared now coz honestly, I don't really have a religion right now. I mean, I do believe in God, but it's generally. I never said that Jesus is not real or anything but I never accused other religions to be wrong, coz I think it's just how human satisfied their knowledge about the holder of the greatest power of this universe. We all will be led to one point, and that is God. Besides, every religion never teach you wrong, it always reminds you to do good deeds, and you'll have good karma in return, unless ajaran sesat. Right?

I pretty much take a little bit of something and put it in my faith. So I still believe in God, but you know, there's always a little part of me that reallllly want to know the truth. Like the actual truth. Don't you guys?

P.S. People who attend Bilderberg including George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Tony Blair, Mike Moore, and other people that I know nothing about.. hehehe. There's more on wiki

Judgement Day - getting closer?

Wednesday, July 9, 2008

well, actually I'm kind of reaaallllly lazy to type. I wish I can just talk to the computer, and the writings will pop out right after. talking about technology eh.. hahaha

anyway, I've wanted to post ever since but you know, lazy comes first. hehe. So I went to church on Sunday, and I've got to say; It's been a long time.... huahahha.. I remember the last time I went to church is with H (or JT?). I'm not quite sure. I always go from one church to another and never stick to one. HAHAHA. I've tried St's, H's, and JT's. Each has their own quality I guess.

So this church that I went to this Sunday at Kogarah - I think! - and you pronounce it like: Krograa or watever.. It was my sister's church (Ay, her friend also go to that church) and as usual, we're late. huahua. But i like it, because we got to have lunch together after kebaktian (Ay's mother-in-law as a matter of fact, is a very good cook) and its deliciousss!!!!! (the food, not the kebaktian) huahaha.. There were babi kecap, ayam, mie, salad, and puding. whooaa.. ahahha. And the priest spoke Indonesian!

But sometimes - I don't know why - when I listened to the priest - or ppl bersaksi - does his thing (khotbahh) I can't help myself not to give comments upon them - not out loud, only to my sister. hehe. The person started to talk about God and so on, and he asked us to list God's kindness to us, and he said it would be difficult.., but I was like: duhhh, it's so easy.. HAHAH didn't mean to be sokta..

Then the priest said, please mention God's miracles to you. And he kept on pointing to the BIG things that God has done to us. I think it doesn't matter whether is big or not, as long as it's from God right? Like, we're alive, that's a big miracle dude! And and, all the living things, food, oxigen, the cycles of nature, everything! How He's taking care of us. I think this is one of a barrier that sometimes make people avoid to join Christian (Dad is one of them).

Why? Because he kept on pointing to big things, and people will tend to think that they will start to trust in Jesus - or any God - only if they see the BIG things some from particular religion! What happen to just-believe?? And the way he interperated (ok, I thin i mis-spell this one) the big things is just too hype. Again, I guess so.. Maybe he has to make a different approach.

Huff, change topic...

I've met new friends! Yesterday I had lunch - for the first time with insearch student! - with this girl named CL. hahaha.. i'm so happy :') and I've known others too. The problem is, I saw soooo many faces and heard many names that I started to confuse who's Yvonne and who's Meimei. hahaha.. Some students like this and that and that and this, I don't know anymore.. ==

Same thing happens on emails. I've got new email addresses with uts/insearch embel".. So new passwords to remember, and links to remember. Gee, I thought things will get easier by now. ckck. But the good news is that I've re-labelled my VISA!! tadaaa.. so no more misunderstanding about it.. hehehe

But going to the immigration office and stuff reminds me of home.. x(

Sometimes I feel as if I'm just dreaming about this strange place. I was like in the movie, living a college life, away from my hometown and full of westerns and asians that don't speak my language. Kind of awkward and totally weird! I wish there's at least ONE person that comes from Makassar and accompany me here - I mean like go to the same classes, and having lunch together.. lol. I WISH! hahha

but watever, I'll get used to it..

I'm writing a crap! just skip this post and wait for another 'better' one. as if..

i'm posting againnn

Here we go again,, I want to write more about death. I just finished my conversation with harry on msn and we talked about life after death. again. hohoho. so we had this kind of question about life after death: will we feel hungry? will we be happy? will we ever feel pain again? or will our emotions be gone by that time?? i mean like, zip!, you're being angel, but with no emotions. at all. imagine that!! --' (it'll be so boriiiiiiing)

it's creepy. it's not that i want to feel kind of emotions like sadness or anger, but like vionna said, "life -indeed- will be dull without any difficulties in it." i love that words!! and if we go to heaven (if I AM) with peace - all peace - then what's left for us??

harry even said we won't feel hunger nor pain!! i love that,, but to think there will be no delicious food to eat.. x\ i'll be like a stupid person. and what about smell?? will we even recognise smelly things (ex. armpit's smell??? HAHAHA) or something smell good??

i wonder when will kiamat come. (i didn't ask for it to happen sooner, i just wondering when will the big day's coming) But i want to feel everything. :3 i want to do everything. i want to taste everything before i die.

and don't forget about the animals!! (Vee asked things such as: HOW ABOUT US?) But i'm worried about the animals as much as i'm worried about human. ^^' harry told me about his con. with his little bro when their hamster hamsters died (T.T). his brother thought that when animal dies, it just dead, so move on.. but i (harry too!) feel like it cannot be like that!! God created us all (me, you, animals, plants) and made us alive so He must have had a plan for us too, don't you think??

and on the other hand, while some people thank God for letting them make decisions for their life, i envy the animals. harry said (again) that when animals were first born, they just know when will they die. and God won't punish 'em for eating humans, right? (what happen to the sharks?) all the animals will go to heaven. they've been guaranteed. right??

fiuhh, at this point, sometimes i feel like the ideas of reincarnation (is it the right spell?) is a whole lot better than just go into heaven.

if i can ask God just one question, it'll be: explain all, please.. :)

life after death
