I don't know if any of you readers realize, but I've been blogging since 2007. That means this year is my sixth year writing a blog. Wowzer. My relationship couldn't even pass one year. Ha!

Anyway, I was trying to re-read all of my posts since 2007 but I gave up reading all of them. There are too many for me. I don't even remember half of the things I posted. And they way I wrote (sucks..), my perspectives, my english. They're very different now.

I've changed again. And I even stumble on one of my older post where I said I was scared of changes. And how my former - I guess - BFF told me how we were still friends no matter what. It's funny ey. I still think the same way though. Changes are scary, but they are something you have to go through. And I feel so thankful with all the changes that happened to me.

So I was looking for my previous 'New Year Resolutions' posts and I could only find one! It was the year 2010. Apparently I wasn't a big fan of resolutions. It kinda makes me feel I shouldn't have made or posted this year's resolutions. Tee Hee!

But I kinda already given my thoughts about it, so I'm just going to give it a go. You know. And I'd be able to re-introspect myself by the end of this year. Awesome!

My 2013 Resolutions:

  1. Be more patient: I was once the most patient person my family ever known. But they said I've changed. My sister said she thought I was angry to life last year, because of what happened to me and Luke. LOL. I think it's ridiculous. But I have to admit I'm not as patient as I used to be. I want to have that passion again; to be able to tolerate a lot. I want to listen more, and get angry less. And yes, now my sister thinks I'm not angry to life anymore. But she thinks I'm way too firm.
  2. Finish the bible (this time for real): People might get tired of reading this point on my list. But I am now in Romans and with confident I believe I can finish reading the bible by this year! :)
  3. Stop saying dirty/bad words: I stopped for a while but lately I've been cursing again. It's not very feminine. Or appropriate. Or respectful. It's very impolite. So I must not curse anymore.
  4. Eat healthier food: A glass of Easyway everyday is thooootally unhealthy.
  5. Stop judging people too fast: I do this unconsciously. I ended up liking or hating someone way too soon.
  6. Write more: Obviously.
  7. Read more: I haven't been using my brain properly.
  8. Pray more: Talking to God is one of my fave religious activities. But I think I have to just spend a little extra time for some more. :)
  9. Stop being single: LOL. I'm not being desperate, but I think it's time. 2010 was the year of love. 2011 was the year of broken-heart. 2012 was the year of healing. 2013 is going to be enchanting, I believe.
  10. Focus less on material things: I've lost my perspective at one point, and now I'm indulged in material things way too much. Just now I thought about my future, and how I want a husband who's financially independent. And I got scared to think if he's not as capable as what my parents expect. Or as I've expected. I was then stumbled upon one of my older posts. I wrote that all I wanted was a person who I love, who makes me a better person. I mean, money is important. Who doesn't want to be rich? But it doesn't defy who you are. Right? I still want a person who I love. It is up to God how or who He choose to bless me with. I'll be alright :)
AMEN.

2013: A - Hopefully - Wonderstruck Year

Monday, December 31, 2012

It's the last day of 2012! In less than 24 hour, it's gonna be 2013 and then I'll have bunch of new year's resolutions. I hope I'd be able to actually tick something off next year though...

Anyways, I've been thinking about this since two days ago, while I was browsing through iBook store and spotted Meg Cabot's books. I need to make a list. I have to make a list of my favorite fictional couple based on everything I've read and watched.

Ha! I know it's so random and unimportant but that's the point!

I'll post something more serious next year but now it's my time to just... Blab! Let's get on the list!

10. Sinichi Kudo and Ran Mouri (from Detective Conan)
They're the only couple from comic that can make it to the top ten list. I was thinking about Ichigo from Bleach but honestly no one knows who he's going to be end up with and please, who can beat the smart, young, romantic detective and his sweet, strong yet teary girlfriend? None.

9. Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy (from The Amazing Spiderman)
Chemistry, check. Hot nerd, check. Smart sassy girl, check. And she was played by Emma Stone! Even though the earlier Spiderman movie might have been more popular or even better than this one, I gotta say, I love these two together! I died a little when I found out that she's not his true love! At least she was the first.

8. James Bond and Vesper Lynd (from Casino Royale)
I have never liked James Bond movie the way I do with Casino Royale. And the reason is these two characters. This is Bond's one true lover!

7. Clark Kent and Lois Lane (from Smallville)
Even though I was on team Clana - Clark Lana - and Lollie - Lois Ollie - this show shifts my thinking in a blink of an eye. Clark and Lois are meant to be together, forever!

6. Barney Stinson and Robin Scherbatzsky (from How I Met Your Mother)
Ok, Barney's a pig and Robin's a badass. They're perfect for each other, nuff said.

5. Ross Geller and Rachel Greene (from Friends)
What can I say? Ross is Rachel's lobster!

4. Marshall Eriksen and Lily Aldrin (from How I Met Your Mother)
The most loyal man in the world meets the tiny sweetest girl. You can't watch them together and not wanting to have what they have. Seriously.

3. Michael Moscovitz and Mia Thermopolis (from The Princess Diares series)
And I'm not talking about the movie version but Meg's original version. Truth be told, Michael is my perfect type in my own fantasy world. Hot nerd with romantic yet manly attitude. Gee I wish I can meet someone like him. The only reason why I didn't put them on number 1 was because they were too young!

2. Jacob Palmer and Hannah Weaver (from Crazy Stupid Love)
I love love love this couple and yes, Emma Stone practically made it twice on my list! Jacob is every girl's weakness. Who can say no to him? Exactly. Hannah's the girl. It's like the best version of badboy/player meets the sweet next-door girl.

1. Chandler Bing and Monica Geller (from Friends)
Tadaaa! My numero uno. The ultimate most favorited, adored and dreamed about! Chandler Bing and Monica Geller! He's not a badboy. He's not super handsome. He had issues and bad habit. But he's really really smart and funny and sweet and at times, innocent. And Monica! She's clean, neat, controlling, a great cook, sexy and pretty. Together they're the best team in fictional world. I'll always wonder when will I find my own Chandler Bing.

Ok. I'm done with my list. Do you agree? Well you might have to watch and read what I've watched and read to understand better but they're thooootally great for each other! Trust me! And no, Bella and Edward are not on the list.

Have a happy new year peeps!

God bless you all!

Hope each one of you can find your perfect partner! :)

My time to blab

Monday, January 25, 2010

Yeah, its a new year so everybody should have at least some goals to achieve right? I've been wanting to write this since the 1st of January, but with my laziness and lots of procrastination, the lists can only be posted now.

Siska Purnamasari's New Year's Resolution (2010)*:
-*with the comment from the Author, filled in the () sign-

1. Finish the Old Testament from the Bible (This is my most important goal. I've been wanting to finish bible since forever so I need to focus on this one, plus, I really want to get to know my religion better.)

2. Talk softer (MANY people say that sometimes I sounded like I am angry when I talk, even when I don't feel like I'm angry. But people are our attitude mirror right?)

3. Being discipline (I must be a discipline, if I ever want to be successful. And this is the hardest thing to do for university students, I guess. Not nerd university students, normal ones. Haha.)

4. Eat less junkfood, more healthy food (Hard, hard, hard.)

5. Exercise more (Not that hard, but been quiet easy to not exercising, especially when you're on a vacation.)

6. Study harder (I want - if I could - great grades, and it means Distinction for my WAM and not Credit, which in order to achieve it, I have to get HD in my every subjects.)

7. Pray more, go to church weekly, and stop cursing or shouting dirty words too often (You know me.)

8. Enjoying life before I'm being a young adult (This means enjoying teenage life and have heaps of fun. Much fun.)

Yeah, that's all. I'm not going to make a-too-long-list, because you know, the risk of it not being achieved is much bigger.

Oh, I have one more wish which I will keep to myself (secret makes a woman woman) so the total is nine wishes.

Happy New Year and I hope you guys luck with your own resolutions!
