Hmm, nice question. There are five things mentioned in this chapter that can motivate one's life: guilt, anger, fear, materialism and needs for approval. I AM motivated by one or two of these things. And while I was reading this chapter, I thought, is it wrong? It is.
The only thing that should motivate you is the urge to please God.
And knowing your purpose of life..
It can give you a meaning of life, simplifies your life, focuses your life, motivates you, and prepares you for eternity - that was written on the book.
I think a lot about this chapter. It is easy to read, but hard to apply.
This chapter will help us to answer two important questions that God will ask on judgment day:
1. What did you do with Jesus, My son?
2. What did you do with what I gave you?
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO ANSWER THAT. At least I didn't. And what do I do with what He gave me? I think I haven't tried hard enough. I have this very talented friend who is really good at cleaning, another one who's really good at guitar, and Luke's getting better with his drum. What about me? Man, it's so hard being a grown up! :(
But I'll keep reading though.. Hahahaha.. Just add some knowledge first. Learn as much as I can. I guess...
Till tomorrow..
Night..
