How?
By reading bible.
Ok. Some of you might think 'huh?'. Because clearly, not everything can be solved by reading the bible. Truth is, bible can solve everything. It's this thing we call psychology. The more you read about positive things, the healthier your mind gets, vice versa. So. If you pile up all kinds of provocative images, readings, and videos in your mind, well, you'll end up with lust. And you'll need some kind of... a release.
But he said don't ever release. Because after you release your desires, you'll want to release some more. Until you're - I tried to find other words but it's late at night and I'm sleepy, so.. - fucked up. Pardon my language, but that's the state where you'll be, if you keep on giving in to your flesh's desires.
The other day my friend's friend's friend who's still in high school told me that there's this trend in school where the boys and girls regard each other as brothers and sisters. Rubbing a girl's back becomes a common thing since hey! We're like siblings! And one of his friend told him how rubbing the girls' back affected his... umm.. biological needs. Like super affecting it.
I mean. REALLY?
A rub on the back??
World has truly gone mad.
We need to focus ourselves away from this corruption. And pervert to that young boy! I mean, is that how you see your siblings? It's totally sexual harassment but sometimes girls are just... too innocent, you know? There is no such thing as "He's like my own brother!" Nope. Just no. That's not possible. And even if it's possible, it's one in a million kind of thing. So if you think you know your 'brother', think again.
Fuuh.. I feel so overwhelmed with this reality. It's pretty sick. But how to solve this?? What can you girls and boys do? I completely understand that we're only human and Joshua Harris is awesome (He quits gym, stop watching TV, and do other shocking things) but we all know how very hard it is, especially if we're not pastors (he is a pastor). I can't do what Joshua did. At least not now. Seriously I haven't finished Smallville yet.
Back to my point: girls, at least please try to understand that boys are bunches of testosterones - literally - thus be aware of what you're wearing and don't get too close to them if they're not your boyfriend. Well, especially if they're your boyfriend (you never know what can happen). And for boys, please respect those girls. They're supposed to be like your family! How could you treat them so wrong?? And I know you have your 'needs' but try to refocus to something else, like sports! It'll help.
Lastly, to support my point, these are the verses that you can use (to read daily so you won't get tempted) to pile up positivity and put some sense in your mind:
Colossians 3:5-6
5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience
1 Thessalonians 4:3-6
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6 that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified.
Again.. to have a desire is a very normal thing. But use it for a good cause. Not for your own selfish satisfaction. :) I hope it can help.
