You MAD!

I should probably posted this on the exact day it happened but I didn't have the chance to post anything since May and I thought maybe I don't have to post anything about it. It's not that big of a deal.

But it is a big deal.

Today My sister and her husband and their baby and I went to Riverview Church (I'm currently in Perth, by the way. I think I'd soon make this blog a travel blog considering the amount of times I'm flying) for the 5PM service. It was my first time going there.

Paul McGee from UK was the preacher of this afternoon service. He is a very smart and funny guy. I found it a bit difficult to keep up with what he was saying because he spoke with British accent (which I love!) but the things that he shared to us was immensely beautiful and I was so touched.

To quote the exact words, he said that to inspire means "to breathe life into something". I never thought about that word. Ever. Until today.

He said there are three main things that you/us (people) should be thankful for in life.

The first one is to be thankful for people who have been with you through the journey of your life. People who got your back, people who are thr reasons why you are who you are today. Don't wait up until it's too late to say thank you to them.

The second one is to be thankful for new chapters in life. So many people stay in their past and are not able to move on to their future because they keep on thinking that God cannot forgive them, they're not worthy of God's grace, their sins and past are so bad they could never be better. And of course people are wrong.

Having new chapters in life is a must. Just as we start a new day every morning, we also start afresh every now and then in our life. So embrace it. Live in the moment. Enjoy your present. Because it's not going to last forever. And it would be the one thing that's going to decide where your future will be.

And for the third and last one, he made everyone on their seat talk to the one beside them, "I'm so thankful for you because you MAD!"

Everyone was half surprised and half laughing and then he said, "You MAD! You Make A Difference. (By then people were like, "Awww" and stuff) So be thankful for yourself because you matter to people, you matter to God and Jesus." (Well I'm paraphrasing what he said I cannot remember the exact words he was saying)

What he said make sense so much. No matter how small the difference, we do make differences to many people's lives without us realizing it but we do! That old lady that you help across the street, or just some random person whose day you've made better without even knowing it!

And to realize that you make a difference means you also realize that you matter to God despite your beliefs and your sex orientation. Because God sees beyond those worldly things.

These stuff that he said moved me to post this blog even though it was been done almost two weeks ago: on Saturday 31 May 2014 I was baptized along with my sister!!

I must admit that I kind of thought it was not a big deal because I've accepted Jesus since I was 19. This baptism to me was a thing that I had to do because you have to be baptized if you're a believer. So even though I was happy, I didn't give it much thought.

But Paul McGee is right. It matters. Being baptized is like one of my two most biggest decions I should ever made. And I just did that less than a month ago! Yay!!! I mean I didn't feel like I was literally died and resurrect as a new person but I know that this is my new chapter. And I'm thankful for it.
I'm thankful for those people who inspired me, those who introduce me to Jesus, those who didn't give up on me when I was at my worst, and those who love me the way I am. I won't be who I am now without all the people I've met and dealt with in my past. And I just want to let you who know me and read my blog know this: you mad man. You do mad. :)

Gb!
