I looked up to this video today on youtube and as a true youtube browser I always give myself some time to read some of the fans' - and more often haters' - comments.
And then there are comments from another group. You can read and find the comments he (I supposed it's a he because people who replied addressed the writer as 'him') posted. There were a lot. You can see the comments from the youtube page here. I've tried to look up to his own channel, but apparently he had already cancelled his account.
So let me just paste some of his comments that really startled me to the core:
Okay, before I start, I just want to let you all know that I'm completely objective. Ok. I'll continue after you read the comments I was rambling about.
So first of all, this guy put this at the comment (this was as far as I can track him)
Now he started accusing names for Lee Hom.
The Great Apostasy, Cusser, God-Hater, Flirt, relationship disaster, young girls seducer, Apostate Celebrity,Blasphemer,modern pornstar, gigolo, rooster, King of male-whoredom ...well...the list can go on, oh yeah, pedophile, the next Ted Bundy of the 21st Century , sexpredator,pinup boy,the Great Successor of Satan.Psychopathetic.
Then someone replied him with an unhappy tone (like you could've asked for a better reply!) and here's his reply.
whoever wrote that nasty reply, you must be the Great Satan. Blind fool!
And then he went back to speak about God..
He is certainly saved by grace and faith in Jesus Christ alone. Heck, he could be baptised. But he must have works to show and fruits of the Holy Spirit to show. You can beat me up onlline, but if what I say is true, the truth would surface itself and be evident to all. God is the one to show who is in error and who is in the light.
And he said this..
Jesus Christ superstar of the Internet!
And right after that he's being racist, and did some more accusations.
Chinese men are women abusers, child molestors, their history is so atrocious and Mr Wang is starting a new generation of eccentric idol worshippers glorifying the Chinese. Crucify the flesh, thou impertinent brood of vipers!
He ended this with this comment, one which made me sick to my stomach just by copying it to my post.
If he is a christian, then I shall HAIL SATAN and FUCK THE HOLY SPIRIT N JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH! EAT MY SHIT!
So I'm not copying his comments to point out that this guy is bad or what. Remember the 'other' group that I mentioned? I was talking about 'Christian' group. Now again, of course, all my friends know that I love many of Leehom's songs. I even put his lyrics on my bbm status occasionally. I like his songs and yes he's a talented guy, good-looking, tall and sexy, but seriously I'm not worshipping him.
Another thing about me is I am a Christian. I'm a follower of Jesus. And it breaks my heart to see those kind of comments spread through social network like Facebook or Youtube. Now I know that Hollywood is not the kind of crowd who truly follow Jesus. I know the hard fact about entertainment industry. I'm not saying these stars are perfect.
But as what others say in replies to that guy, he's human. We are human. He's a sinner. We're sinners. And we all have done some horrible things in our life. I mean even Lady Gaga is a human! (although I can't respect her - she doesn't respect herself and God) And if she wants to have a salvation, she'll get it. I believe angles in Heaven would be mostly glad if we can win her back from the darkness.
Back to this guy. My point is, this is one of the reasons why there are so many people mock and even have no respect towards Christianity. I think what people need to realize most importantly is the fact that Christians are sinners too. We fall in and out of sin everyday. We have this war every second of our life. Being a Christian is not like mentioning what kind of food you'd love to have. It's a way of life. I've said this before in my previous posts, but I'll say it again.. I'll say it a thousand times more: Christianity is not a religion, it's a lifestyle, a relationship between one self with Jesus.
Often enough, I struggle trying to let people see this fact, but they always too focus on the religion, to the people, and not to Jesus. I hate myself sometimes for not being able to tell them what I mean about being a Christian. It's more than just showing up at church every week. It's more than giving tithe. It's not just about hearing the preach. It's not about doing the right thing. It's about knowing Jesus, being friends with Him, knowing His characters and be more and more like Him. It's about a relationship. Not a title. Not a religion. Not a name.
You can name what I'm doing now as a religion, but what I and many people like me do is having a relationship with Jesus. It's not just claiming that Jesus is our Savior and our Shepherd. It's about being led by Him, and not trying to get others to be led by human.
It's really hard for me to bring this message to you as I myself is a sinner, and you might think I'm just another 'fanatic Christian'. Well, I'm a big fan of Jesus. But I'm here not to convince you that I'm clean. I'm here to let you know that Christian is not like what you think it is. We're not bunch of crazy people who accuse others without evident. We're not some self-claimed righteous people whose actions are different from what they say they are. We're not those people who like to use dirty words and curses to make our point.
We enjoy good songs and we love making friends. We love to sing and listen to Wang Lee Hom as much as we love Hillsong and Planetshakers. We do mistakes. We can be mean sometimes, got angry, and commit sins too. We might say one thing and do another sometimes, because as you do, we also got tempted. But we also pray and ask for mercy everyday. We try to be better, to forgive and forget. We're just the same as you. Only we look up to Jesus. When we talk to you about Jesus, it's not to proclaim that we are the self-righteous people who don't appreciate your belief. We are just so excited to introduce you to Jesus. If by doing so, you are offended, then please forgive us.
I just hope, in your everyday life, wherever you are, or whenever you're browsing through the internet, when you come across to Christians like the guy who gave those comments, please, give Christianity a second thought. Be it an atheist, free thinker, people who used to be a Christian, people who have been disappointed by Christians, please reconsider the true Christians, the ones who are becoming more Christ-like, and not to the ones who have the biggest voice.
Please shift your focus from the people and the religion, to the source of it all, The Love itself, Jesus... :)
