The Gold Coast Story

I'm back back back with loads of stories for youu :D

And for the opening: GC is awesome!!!

A little problem is that my skin is getting tanned - results for lining up under the direct sun, but no choices left, I wanted to play the rides.

So Gold Coast was not really big, I mean it's a big city, but smaller than Sydney. The first day - Christmas day - I wasn't as enthusiastic to go to the airport. Funny thing was, I woke up already at 8 with D but both of us had not done any packing yet. So we did that in a rush, well, not quiet rush - our flight was scheduled at 2.30 PM - if you know what I mean. I guess it's in our gene, we just can't be that on-time. haha.

We missed the flight, obviously. So Fd and her boyfriend, Jm - both D's friends - who also went to GC fleed to there first while D and I had to wait for the next flight - 4.30 PM. lol. But I enjoyed every minute I spent at the airport, we were reading and eating - Sumo Salad's chicken caesar salad is good! - and the best part was playing Simcity 4!! xD I never thought the computer will provide those kind of games. It's like I was given fresh water through my very thirst of playing games. hahahaha. My city was already developing in a way I never wanted to leave the game ever but my plane thought the other way by boarding at the very moment. There I was with D, and the next 1 hour and 25 minutes we arrived at GC! Lucky thing Fd and Jm had been there first, they took us at the airport - and helpng us with our 20.5kg bag.

GC was 1 hour earlier than Sydney so when we had our dinner it was still around 7 I guess. We had our dinner at Chiang Mai Restaurant which was lovely - both the taste and interior - and headed to Peninsula apartment. There were two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, dining table, and an ocean view from the balcony. Pretty nice place to live for although I really wish - and I still am wishing - I could stay at Versace Hotel. *giggle*

At Boxing Day, we went to Movie World and this was my favo place at GC. It's like a theme park full of rides that named after a movie from Warner Bros Production. We got here by car - we rent it, it's a bit far away from our apartment. Back to the theme park. There were these crazy rides that would shuddered you just to even look at it and people were frantically screaming each time they took the ride.
They called it Superman Escape. I still wonder until now from where did I have the guts to ride that thing. I only rode it once. I doubt I would want to ride it next time. But it was still fun - maybe the right word is thrilling - it needed a lot of adrenaline and after you ride this, others were seemed to be less scary.

This one is Batwing - a 60 mtrs long space-shot and I love it!! tee hee :) I also rode another rides namely ScoobyDoo - this one was unbelievably fun, I thought it was children's ride, I was wrong, Wild Wild West - kind of Arum Jeram, well we practically play every ride except for Lethal Weapon. I didn't took this one because at first D kept telling me she was afraid but then I forced her to, and then when we were about to take our seat, the gate that held the visitors to stay in line closed and I couldn't get out! It was like some kind of a sign - blame my superstitious feeling - to me that I wasn't fated to play this ride, and maybe I was. I never knew because I didn't ride it and so did D. We were around looking for shops - lotta shops - which sells many goods that related to the movie: shirts, mugs, keychains, jewelleries, obviously they make money through selling all those kind of useless stuffs. I did shopping though. ;) There was a Harry Potter shop! Ahh, it was like living in a scene of movie, I didn't want to leave.

But even so, we went back home, had dinner at Sizzler and the second day we went to Dreamworld, another theme park. We played Cyclone - a rollercoaster that was nothing compared to Superman Escape - and Tower of Terror - a rollercoaster with a huge L shaped rail, this one was fun and exciting! I didn't ride The Claw though - it was like Kora-Kora in Dufan, but scarier, way much scarier - because I was too dizzy by the heat of the sun.

So D and I spent our day by eating, taking photos with Spongebob and Patrick and that baby from Rugrats, Jimmy Neutron and eating again. There was this ride, Giant Drop - a spaceshot twice as high as Batwing, 120 mtrs - that now I really want to try, but I didn't because I was afraid my heart would stop beating the moment it dropped me.

At the last night, Jm bought a medium size of Red Label and a big Coke and we all played Uno cards and Poker (or big 2? culdn't remember), the one who lost should drank a shot. But I only had to drink half a shot coz I was the youngest of all. I lost the most. And then D. My head was heavy and my face was as red as tomato but thank God I was still aware of myself - just a tipsy. I think Fd and Jm had a little conspiracy between them because they rarely lost, or D and I were just had no luck that night. That, or we were suck at playing cards.

The next day D and I went back to Movie World because mom wanted some things from there, and Fd Jm went to Wet'NWild. I was a bit envied them for I, too, wanted to go there but as I realized how hot the sun was and how tan I would be if I had went with them, I was feeling good. And we got to watch Bugs Bunny and Duffy Duck and Sylvester and Tasmanian Devil! x) And we got a pic with Batman!! Ha! I loved this holiday! :))

After that D and I picked Fd and Jm to go to the airport, it was started to be a thunderstorm by then and Jm Fd all wet by the rain - but they still got tanned! We headed back to Sydney at 7.10 PM, 9.30 PM arriving in Sydney with J waiting on us, went back home, and that's how these 3 nights and 4 days trip end!

And yeah, things that not good enough there was the food. I think sometimes western people are fool. The only things that they eat were chips and burgers and junkie. Ughh..
