Academic Writing - Hardvard Style

Recently spending time at library. Just finished class at 11 and do not have another class until 1.30 but since I have no friend here, I am just hang out here. What a pathetic life. HAHAHA. I ate at McDonalds alone!! This was like my first time eating lunch alone..

Anyway, from now on I will start practising my 'academic writing'. Huff. But I will not get too formal. I had my Academy Literacy class yesterday (tutorial) and the teacher told us about how to write proper academic writing.

Heres are the rules:
1. No contractions (eg. do not = don't; until = till)
2. Watch the punctuation (eg. a full stop or period must be placed after the last word without space(.) and two spaces are must to continue on another sentence. Besides, comma(,) only need one space before continuing the sentence)
3. I, we, you, they must not be used
4. Try to use complicated and useless word (for me) to make readers confuse and you will seem smarter than you really are

I was just joking about the useless word, but seriously, sometimes I think it is nonsense. I was also taught to paraphrasing object question. The question using words such as (such as is more considerable than like) ubiquitous, predominantly and prolific. Maybe I should have brought my dictionary - paraphrasing is hard! I read in novels about SAT. Do you know that, H? It is a test to see how far your acknowlegdement about vocabulary. I think there is a book about SAT preparation. I guess - whatever.. hahaha I can't help it, can't keep writing in academic way.. But I will try my best. Plus, I need to learn more about complicated words, or should I say, more intelligence words? lol

Winter it is now, btw. I'm so cold and I only got three jackets. Need to buy few of them.
